by: DBTC correspondence

Cebu City – July 10, 2026 Don Bosco Technical College–Cebu continues to strengthen the Salesian identity of its educators through its Friday Formation Program, a weekly initiative that nurtures the spiritual, personal, and professional growth of all Salesian educators.

Beginning this school year, the program follows a monthly formation cycle:

  • First Friday – Salesianity Formation: Deepens educators’ understanding of Salesian spirituality, the Preventive System, and the educational mission of St. John Bosco.
  • Second Friday – Lectio Divina: Provides a prayerful encounter with the Word of God through reflection on the Sunday Gospel, fostering spiritual renewal.
  • Third Friday – Fellowship Day: Strengthens fraternity, camaraderie, and the sense of family spirit among Salesian educators.
  • Fourth Friday – Dialogue and Discernment Day: Offers a venue for communal discernment, program evaluation, collaborative dialogue, and shared decision-making in support of the school’s mission.

Over the past two Fridays, educators gathered for a Lectio Divina, reflecting on the Sunday Gospel, followed by a formation session on “The Roots of Salesian Spirituality,” which revisited the foundations of Don Bosco’s spirituality and invited educators to renew their commitment as Salesian mission partners.

The Friday Formation Program reflects DBTC Cebu’s commitment to forming educators who are not only competent professionals but also authentic witnesses of the Salesian charism, working together to form good Christians and upright citizens.
