Representatives from the three SYM Provinces across the Philippines gathered at MHCS Pampanga Inc. for the National Assembly Days (NADs) 2026, united under the theme “Renew: Serve and Shine!” The event brought together young leaders in a spirit of synodality, reflection, and mission.
The assembly opened with a program hosted by FIL delegates JL Omang and Kyle Egoy, followed by a prayer led by Kuya Robson Tagle. A recap of NADs 2023 was presented by Kuya Daryl Torreon, while Sr. Sheila Ducot, FMA, delivered the opening remarks and orientation for the delegates.
Sessions were facilitated by Kuya Drew Velasquez and Kuya Dhale Tubig of Bukal ng Tipan, who emphasized synodality as the path toward renewal. Delegates presented the results of the SYM Survey and revisited the SYM Primer, reflecting on their identity and mission in light of the Five Elements of a Synodal Church.
After the sessions on the first day, an Opening Mass was presided over by Fr. Noel Sumagui, SDB, followed by the turnover of One SYM leadership from the FIL Province to the FIN Province. Moments of prayer, including the Rosary and a Good Night Talk by Sr. Joralyn Selloria, FMA, deepened the spiritual experience and reminded participants to balance service with prayer.
On the second day, participants continued their sessions through group discussions and presentations, proposing initiatives for the movement’s growth. The day concluded with affirmations and expressions of gratitude to the facilitators. The evening ended with a Rosary and a Good Night Talk by Kuya Erbert Dela Resma, reminding everyone that this milestone marks the beginning of a new journey.
After dinner, Kuya Chadrix Tañada presented the different youth group handbooks created by the FIN Province for One SYM, followed by discussions and expressions of gratitude from each province. The One SYM Coordinating Team (OSCT) then held a meeting to plan the next steps for the movement in the coming months.
The final day was dedicated to fellowship, as delegates visited the Clark Freeport Zone Museum and shared a meal at Lola Sisa. These moments strengthened friendships and celebrated the unity formed throughout the assembly.
As NADs 2026 came to a close, participants returned to their communities with renewed hearts, ready to serve with passion and shine with purpose, continuing the mission of a vibrant and synodal Church.
