Don Bosco Philippine South Province and Don Bosco Technical College-Cebu hosted this year’s Curriculum Studies Association of the Philippines (CSAPI) National Conference on Curriculum Studies (NCCS) on November 25-26, 2023 at Don Bosco Retreat House, Lawaan.
With the theme “Foundations of Curriculum Studies in a Changing Landscape” NCCS 2023 focused on education’s dynamic and transformative nature. The conference gathered 178 educators and school administrators (61 onsite and 117 online) from the different regions of the country. Moreover, 14 local and international speakers graced NCCS 2023 and shared their expertise on various topics concerning curriculum studies while 11 paper presenters introduced the findings of their research studies to the plenary.
During his keynote speech, Fr. Fidel Ma. D. Orendain, SDB posed a challenge to educators and administrators in navigating the area of curriculum studies: “As educators, dedicating time to perfecting curriculum studies is crucial, yet our genuine calling is to transform aspirations into reality.”
The two-day conference became a source of transformative ideas that sparked renewed inspiration among educators and school administrators alike.
