Cebu City Police Office – Station 10 sent PNP Personnel headed by Police Officer Alli Degamo to visit DBTC Campus. They conducted a security survey and inspection procedure to assess our security preparedness. They inquired vital information about the security guards, cctv operation, alarm systems and other facilities that will keep the school safe at all times. Thanks to Station 10 Officer In-Charge Merly Pranza Causin, who is a Bosconian, for this initiative.
Police presence in DBTC is a welcome partnership. Their visibility gives us these benefits:
- Sense of Security
The physical presence of uniformed Police Officers is a psychological deterent to alert any potential offenders outside and around our vicinity. In DBTC, Bosconians are familiar with teachers in uniform or priests roaming around in cassock. But seeing the Police is a reassuring sight to us, law-abiding citizens, that everything is under control. - Public Order
Police presence serves as a reminder that the community is being monitored and checked. It lowers community fears in becoming victims of arbitrary crimes and guarantee public order. Law enforcement personnel gives us a sense of peace. - Active Vigilance
Seeing Officers on patrol gives everyone the confidence and trust that there are eyes and ears always active and vigilant in case of need. And when emergencies arise, help and response is readily available.
My takeaway:
Safety and security is a basic need for families and institutions. Partnership with PNP Officers is a healthy and effective partnership.
