On the evening of June 20, 2026, the Salesian Family gathered in a spirit of thanksgiving and fraternity to witness the solemn installation of the new Rector of the Don Bosco Formation Center–Lawaan, Rev. Fr. Godofredo Atienza, SDB, who begins his first term as Rector, and the reinstallation of Rev. Fr. Roneldo Vilbar, SDB, as Novice Director for his second term.

The installation ceremony was presided over by the Provincial Superior of the Philippine South Province, Rev. Fr. Amelito Narciso Racelis, SDB, during the celebration of Evening Prayer at the Shrine of St. John Bosco the Dreamer Chapel. The liturgical rite symbolized not only the formal acceptance of their respective offices but also the renewal of their commitment to lead the community in fidelity to the Gospel and the Salesian charism.

In his role as Rector, Fr. Godofredo Atienza assumes the responsibility of fostering the spiritual, pastoral, and fraternal life of the formation community, ensuring that every aspect of community life reflects the values and educational vision of St. John Bosco.

As Novice Director, Fr. Roneldo Vilbar continues his mission of accompanying the novices in their discernment, nurturing their human, spiritual, intellectual, and Salesian formation as they prepare to profess their religious vows.

The celebration served as a profound expression of communion and shared responsibility within the Salesian Family. Confreres, novices, prenovices, aspirants, and members of the Salesian Family were united in prayer, entrusting the new Rector and the Novice Director to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Their presence reflected the community’s support and confidence in the leaders entrusted with the mission of animation and formation.

More than a formal ceremony, the installation marked the beginning of a renewed chapter in the life of the Don Bosco Formation Center. It reaffirmed the community’s commitment to forming young Salesians who are deeply rooted in Christ, faithful to the Church, and dedicated to the charism of Don Bosco. As the new Rector and the Novice Director embrace their respective ministries, the community looks forward with hope, trusting that their leadership will continue to inspire a culture of joyful service, fraternity, vocational fidelity, and pastoral zeal for the young.
