Don Bosco Formation Center Lawaan held the Second Magisterial Lecture last October 11, 2023 at the Shrine Chapel of St. John Bosco the Dreamer, Lawaan III, Talisay City, Cebu. This year’s Magisterial Lecture focused on Synodality. The invited speaker was the Most Rev. Midyphil B. Billiones, D.D., the Auxiliary Bishop of Cebu, whose experiences and expertise are laden by Synodality. Rev. Fr. Adrian L. Mendoza, SDB, Rector and President of Don Bosco Formation Center, welcomed the 197 participants from the different religious congregations, educators from various schools, catechists from parishes and the members of the Salesian family.
After the talk, the Aspirants and Prenovices rendered a famous Cebuano folk song entitled Rosas Pandan. An open forum followed afterwards where some questions on the topic were raised which Bishop Billones answered. As a conclusion, Bishop Billones, before giving his final blessing, invited the participants for a Community Singing with a song Give Thanks, popularized by Don Moen. A simple table fellowship followed to celebrate family spirit within the said event.
