For the past 2 years, the Social Communication Office of the Philippines South(FIS) has consistently participated in the online East Asia Oceania monthly formation of the Salesian School of Social Communication, Rome. The first cycle of formation concluded at the end of 2022, and just recently the lay mission partners of the SocCom FIS received a certificate of participation for having completed the first cycle.
The Vicar of the Provincial, Fr. Amelito Racelis, SDB, in behalf of the Provincial Superior, awarded the recognition to Ms. Jennifer Cordova and Mr. Jan Odivilas at the Don Bosco Provincial House on the 5th of October, 2023. Witnesses to the ceremony were Fr. Adriano Satura, SDB, (Provincial Economer), Fr. Keith Amodia, SDB, (SocCom delegate), Fr. Rooney Undar, SDB, (CYM delegate), Fr. Regino Godinez, SDB, (Provincial Secretary), and the lay mission partners of DBPH.
The Salesian School of Social Communication is an online formation initiative of the SocCom sector in Rome for all the SocCom delegates and lay mission partners of the different provinces. It is a monthly gathering of discussion, reflection and interaction which tackles topics of varied interests that are relevant to the mission of Social Communication.
