by: Mayve Jane Barros Dalisay

The Salesians of St. John Bosco Parish and Shrine in Mambukal, together with the Parish Pastoral Council, organized events in two neighboring barangays from October 21st to 22nd to assist the voting parishioners in making a wise choice in the election.

In Barangay Minoyan, 31 aspiring candidates presented their plans for the community, with 3 running for Barangay Captain and 28 for Barangay Kagawad. A similar forum took place in Barangay San Miguel, where no less than 38 candidates from both Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan shared their dreams for the community.

The second day took the same form as four aspiring teams shared their plans for the youth of Barangay Minoyan.

The forum aimed to help the people better know and understand the candidates and choose the right leaders for them. The candidates appreciated the chance to connect with the public and ask for their support in the election.
