2025 August 17 – The four Don Bosco Youth Centers of DBTC, Lawaan, Lourdes and Pasil held the 2nd inter-DBYC League in honor of the 210th birthday of St. John Bosco. The league ran for two days from August 16 to 17, 2025 at the Don Bosco Technical College – Cebu. The league started with the attendance of around 350 young people in the installation of the new FIS provincial and the presbyteral ordination of Fr. Jhon Robert Andales, SDB.
The throng of youth then paraded the streets from Lourdes Shrine to the school where they held different event competitions in basketball, volleyball, futsal, table tennis, badminton, chess, scrabble and two traditional Pinoy games bahaw-bahaw and patintero. The league is not limited to sports, however, as there were also contests in singing, hip-hop dancing, cheerdancing, poster making and jigsaw puzzle solving.
Salesians priests, brothers and formands were present to play and have fun with young people. They also held an exhibition match of football together with youth. The event was organized by the Commission on Youth headed by Fr. Rooney John Undar, SDB together with dedicated youth leaders from the different centers.
The league ended with DBYC-Lawaan taking the overall championship from DBYC-Lourdes from last year. Despite the intense competition, young people from the different Don Bosco centers gathered and had fun together as Salesian youth, sons and daughters of Don Bosco.
