Entrepreneur Seminar

Our DBTC Teachers began a two-day Seminar Workshop on Entrepreneurship in our new Bugsay Leadership Auditorium. Fr. Rooney John Undar, SDB invited Entrepinoy Volunteers Foundation to facilitate the learning. The idea of technopreneurship is still fresh to our institution infusing into our Bosconians the spirit of innovation with their technical expertise. Our teachers have to own this mindset as classroom leaders.

What I observed from this Seminar-Workshop:

  1. Enthusiastic Participation: the energy and enthusiasm of our teachers was encouraging. They easily immersed themselves into the workshop and group activities as excited learners. The atmosphere conveniently turned into a classroom encounter.
  2. Engaged Learning: the seasoned facilitators provided customized training and made the auditorium into a business clinic. Our Salesian Educators in turn showed a driven yearning for something new. They were motivated to see their context with new pairs of eyes.
  3. Enriching Experience: this seminar provided our teachers with new entrepreneurial skills to turn mere ideas into workable proposals that challenge their creativity and resourcefulness.

My takeaway: We are laying the roots of a technopreneurship mindset beginning with our Salesian Educators.
