2025 May 24, Don Bosco Retreat House Lawaan – The Knights of the Altar of the Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes held their 3-day, 2-night Brotherhood Camp 2025 here at the retreat house. 59 participants from aspiring altar servers to senior members participated in the camp led by the 10 leaders and animators of the KOA.
The camp aims to strenghten the brotherhood among KOA members, reinforce their training in altar serving, and deepen the Eucharistic spirituality of the group. Participants camped out at the retreat house grounds where they set up their tents and cooked their own food. Everyone gathered at the Bosco Hall for the prayers and formation where five formal talks were delivered by different invited speakers.
Highlights from the camp include spontaneous fun around a camp fire, a quiz on the vessels used at sacred liturgy, and heartfelt sharing of sentiments in a sacred circle. Every year, more members join the knights. This continuous formation allows the members of the KOA to grow more in their identity and mission and come closer to Jesus, their brother in the Eucharist.
