The Start of Juan’s (One’s) Journey: Pakig-uban (Cebu District)

The Salesian Youth Movement – FIS had its very first Pakig-uban where the Core Group members reached out to the different Don Bosco settings in the province. They started their journey in Cebu District on April 13 and 14, 2024 with the houses:
- Don Bosco Liloan
- Don Bosco Youth Center – Pasil
- Don Bosco Youth Center – Lawaan
- Don Bosco Youth Center – Lourdes.
The activity consisted of engagement with the youth leaders and animators per house, sharing their thoughts on how they are doing in their ministry, and their calendar of activities. Additionally, the Core Group members gave a glimpse of the upcoming activities in the province for 2024 and 2025, and allowed the youth to share their ideas on how the SYM could extend their help in their house.
Overall, the activity was a success which became an eye-opener for the Core Group members to further work on their mission of accompanying the young people. They gained insights from the respective houses to collectively strengthen each other as one Province.
